Cheesman Park is an iconic Denver park and neighborhood. Since its establishment in 1898, Cheesman has seen an astounding population increase. The population is hovering just over 40,000 as we speak. The area has no doubt been witness to many major milestones in the lives of its nearby residents. However, it is unlikely that a couple as kindhearted and madly in love as Hijschen & Rob have graced this historic park’s grounds…until now that is.

It’s immediately obvious, even in photographs, that this couple is absolutely mad for each other. From the way every glance has a message behind it, to the comfortable, gentle way they fit into each other’s arms– Hijschen & Rob have an unmistakable love. What better way to celebrate that love than with a child on the way?
Well, celebrate we did, when we found out this lovely couple was planning for a baby girl! Ecstatic to do the maternity photos, our photographer had a blast with this pair. A gorgeous outdoor setting, a perfect spring day, and a happy couple- does it get much better? Hijschen & Rob picked out casual, yet trendy spring outfits. With soft colors that popped from the green background, the two stood out beautifully from the flowers. The pastel blue and bright yellow shirts definitely say “baby on the way” and we love the symbolism behind incorporating small leaves and flowers.
Perfect park, perfect outfits, perfect day aside– it’s Hijschen’s glowing beauty and Rob’s evident wonder and excitement that make the images so special. This couple is one of the sweetest we’ve ever come across, and their genuine happiness translates in every shot. From tender kisses to intimate moments in each other’s arms, we were there to capture all of the love, bliss, and excitement that comes with being pregnant– and this couple couldn’t have made our job easier!
