Cherry Creek Reservoir provides beautiful trees for a natural backdrop and even lighting. This location is also a great spot for photos by the lake, on a picnic, or frolicking in the meadows! This location does require a $60 photo permit and vehicle entrance fee.
Cherry Creek Family Sessions
The best time to take photos at the Cherry Creek Reservoir is in the afternoon and around sunset. The golden hour and the softness of the light at these times of the day are epic, especially when the light reflects off of the reservoir. This is the perfect spot for a family session, the kids can run around and be crazy, and we can capture it all!
Engagement and Maternity Sessions
We love the versatility of this location! Looking for a location for Engagement or Maternity sessions? You can’t go wrong! The water is not the only feature that attracts people here, there are trails that are shaded by trees, and little private alcoves all over, just in case you are shy. There is also a horseback riding trail, bike trails, and more! You can rent bikes or bring your fishing poles. Whatever your heart desires!
Our Favorite Time of Year at Cherry Creek!
We love embracing all four seasons here as the Winters are covered in a blanket of snow, the Springs with the trees blooming with color. The Summers are hot enough to dip your toes in the Reservoir and Autumn to play with the leaves that have fallen off the trees.
