It’s no secret that those of us at From the Hip love fun and games. Whether we’re having a nerf gun war in the studio or spending an evening at super secret Portugal. the Man show, we’re always having fun. That’s why we’re always thrilled when our wedding and engagement couples love fun and games as much as we do! Recently we spent an afternoon at the Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs with Erica & Sam for the engagement session, and honestly you guys this might be the most fun engagement session we’ve ever done!
The Penny Arcade
Arcade Amusements, known by Colorado locals as the Penny Arcade, is a popular attraction for anyone near the Colorado Springs area. Located just off Main Street the arcade consists of a handful of different buildings with each room hosting a variety of classic arcade games. The arcade boasts over 400 different arcade games. You can still play a handful of those games for just a penny! Where else can you find such an inexpensive place to spend the day having fun? You can add the penny arcade to our long list of reasons why we love our state!
Erica & Sam spent the afternoon walking through the different rooms of the arcade. They played several different games with one another, a perfect opportunity for great candid photos! We couldn’t have had more fun watching a beautiful engagement couple having fun together. And is there any clearer sign that you’ve found your person than when you can have this much fun together? We don’t think so! That’s how we know Erica & Sam are meant for each other.
This early spring photo session was beautifully backed by not only the arcade but also beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom! For this photo session, Erica looked even more beautiful than the spring flowers. She dressed in a baseball tee reading ‘wifey,’ and a pink tulle skirt. She perfectly matched Sam, who also wore a baseball tee! His read ‘hubby,’ the perfect attire for getting even more excited for their upcoming wedding! After having so much fun with them in the arcade this spring, we can’t wait to attend their wedding this August!
