Here, at From the Hip Photo, it is no secret that we love a late summer wedding. Who doesn’t enjoy sipping champagne in the sunshine, celebrating a couple in love – we are human aren’t we? This past August we had the pleasure of witnessing Nate and Kaitlyn create the perfect fairytale wedding as they tied the knot at the historic Denver Botanic Gardens. Guy’s, it has been months and we are still swooning!

Love & Outdoors
Nate and Kaitlyn always knew they wanted to incorporate their love for the outdoors in their wedding. As their engagement took place on a picnic blanket in Cheesman Park it was no surprise that they fell in love with the beauty of Denver’s Botanic Gardens. With the natural beauty of the garden’s they relished in the idea that their fairytale wedding had, essentially, decorated itself. To compliment the setting even further, Nate and Kaitlyn chose a neutral color palate with accents of peach and light green. Roses, succulents, peonies, and some greenery were all featured in their bouquets.
Along with their decor, Kaitlyn and Nate fabulously complimented the garden themselves. Appropriately dressed for a summer garden wedding, Nate sported a classic navy suit – which he already owned! Kaitlyn’s finished look was radiant and succeeded in turning heads throughout the garden. Her dress, which had a low v-neck, exposed back, and full skirt was beautiful and truly unique in the fabric. The dress featured stripes throughout. Kaitlyn completed the look with simple gold sandals, a bracelet, and drop earrings. The duo made quite the pair as they walked hand in hand throughout the garden together.

Garden Party
Guests had the pleasure of sipping on wine and champagne as they strolled throughout the garden. For dinner, Nate and Kaitlyn eliminated the traditional sit-down meal and, instead, opted for a more unique dining experience. Food stations throughout the reception served mac and cheese, taco fixings with a condiment bar, and a traditional serving of beef and roasted veggies.
We were not the only ones impressed with the way Nate and Kaitlyn threw a party. Guest’s danced throughout the night under a criss-cross of fairy lights. They cheered for the couple as they kissed and swayed on the dance floor.
Congratulations to Nate and Kaitlyn, thank you for letting us capture your garden fairytale!
