Emily and Brendan are getting married in New York, but they love Colorado so much that they did a double session for their engagement photos. We started out in Denver for some cool urban wine bar engagement photography and made our way over to Red Rocks for some fun outdoor photos – dog obviously included!
Our Colorado photo adventure began in Denver, where we visited Max’s Wine Dive. The couple shared a glass of wine and couldn’t stop chatting about how excited they were for their wedding. Their personalities truly shone through during their wine bar engagement photography session! Being able to drink at a favorite dining spot allowed the couple to relax and simply enjoy themselves. Max’s Wine Dive makes it easy to have fun, with their gourmet comfort food that is locally sourced. Plus, the wine bar boasts a casual setting with a super cool jukebox.
After the wine bar portion of our journey, we joined the couple for a stroll through Denver’s Historic District and Larimer Square. Larimer Square is always aglow with beautiful string lights, but lucky for us, Colorado flags had been recently added to the decorations! It was perfect for Emily and Brendan to celebrate their love for the state!
The next stop was Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park, which is a gorgeous location, especially for photos! Besides being one of Colorado’s most-loved concert venues and hiking spots, it has spectacular views of the city and of the natural rock formations in the area. We found an epic spot near the bottom of the park to set up. Emily and Brendan brought their adorable Goldendoodle pup, Toby, along. After he ran off his energy, he made an adorable model and sign holder.
Emily and Brendan are a fantastic couple and we loved photographing their multipart engagement session! They were lots of fun to work with because of all their enthusiasm and willingness for adventures. They’ll have a beautiful wedding in New York, but we know that Colorado will always be their true love!

Thanks Raj! I don’t remember exactly, but I did use off camera sb700 and 900 with PW’s to light the subject so probably something around 160 speed with a 50mm and 85mm nikon primes.
