To photograph a couple on their wedding day and then be able to photograph that same couple with their newborn baby is a very special honor in this field of work. It’s always wonderful to see our From The Hip Photo family growing! We can’t stress enough how much of a privilege it’s been to see Kenzie and Ryan’s party of two grow to a party of three with the arrival of sweet baby Ty. If there’s one thing that we know for certain, is that this little St. Louis Cardinals newborn and his parents probably hated the outcome to the 2016 World Series Game just weeks after these photos were taken!
Being only about two weeks old, this little cherub was extremely easy to work with. Ty was a great sleeper which was a big help! We have a few tips and tricks for parents for successful newborn photo sessions. But no matter how much you prepare, everything is always up in the air! Though with this specific session, everything ran as smooth as can be. This photo session took place in the Tracy’s home, which helps because Ty didn’t have to be bundled up to go anywhere.
Back in 2015 when we photographed the Tracy’s wedding, we saw them look at each other with such love and adoration. They look at Ty with the exact same tenderness…and sometimes with silly faces! We’re positive that as Ty gets older he’ll stick his tongue out in return!
His nursery had a world traveler theme with blues, grays, beiges, and whites as part of the color palate. Given this color coordination, the pictures offered a very calming tone. Plus, sleeping babies just give off a very dreamy effect! We can only assume that he’ll grow up a little adventurer. Hopefully, he will even visit Busch Stadium someday to see his baseball team play! After all, a fan is a fan whether you’re a St. Louis Cardinals grandfather or a St. Louis Cardinals newborn!
Thank you to the Tracy family for continuing to include us in your growing family’s journey!
